Culture Of Brutality Exposed? | Bolton Police Station

Last Friday Bolton lad Jack Atherton was kicked out of a club in Bolton Town Centre for allegedly pulling out a knife. He was cuffed and searched across the street by the police and forcefully taken to the ground by a Sergeant, after kicking out in what looked like a reflex movement he was forced to endure an attack from the enraged Sergeant who while seemingly angry at his fellow officer having been kicked by the lad displayed behaviour that looked beyond proportionate force. The sergeant reports from Bolton Police Station.

I decided to pay the station a visit to have a look around and ask a few questions to find out if this kind of police response was typical on weekend nights or only an isolated incident.
The desk lady asked me not to film, clearly untrained in public photography and in need of an education which the two very polite officers on the scene agreed they would dish out. I also spoke to these officers about the incident.
I was able to hear from Jack Atherton about the incident and get his side of the story which he was more than happy to tell.
