Employees of the Atlanta Office of Inspector General (OIG) are sounding the alarm, requesting whistleblower protections as they expose alleged fraud, waste, abuse, and corruption within city government. The request, outlined in a March 3 letter, was sent to Mayor Andre Dickens, Attorney General Chris Carr, and federal officials, citing concerns over retaliation for their efforts to uncover wrongdoing.

🚨 Atlanta City Council recently passed legislation restricting OIG from conducting criminal investigations, a move whistleblowers argue limits their ability to expose misconduct.
