Community Policing Forums are essential in fostering collaboration between the South African Police Service and local communities to combat crime effectively. However, the effectiveness and safety of CPF members are often compromised by various challenges.​

They often operate under extreme conditions- limited resources, constant exposure to violence, and a growing trust deficit between law enforcement and the public.
